Due diligence for Exilion

Etha Wind participated in Finland’s largest deal in wind power as a due diligence consultant.

In spring 2020, Etha Wind performed due diligence services in Finland’s largest wind power deal to date. In the deal, renewable energy investor Exilion acquired 11 wind farms with the total capacity of 315 MW. This is equivalent to 14 % of the existing wind power in Finland.

Etha Wind was involved as the technical due diligence consultant and delivered the project during a few hectic months in the spring of 2020.

The scope included:

  • Permitting review
  • Grid connection review
  • Turbine walkdowns
  • Valuation opinions

The project was managed by Etha Wind’s COO Caroline Kullbäck and included a team of eight persons. Both in-house personnel and external experts were represented in the team.

Exilion is owned by Finnish earnings-related pension providers. Read more about the transaction on Exilion’s website.
